Come to this day to pray for yourself and for your loved ones. Fr. Michael will introduce us to variety of ways of praying for healing - physically, emotionally, and spiritually. For as many of the retreatants as time allows, there will be the opportunity for brief individual prayer with members of a prayer team. The day includes a “Healing Mass” and a closing Healing Prayer Service with Eucharistic Adoration.

Jesus promised, “I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” On this sacred day of reflection, we gather to rest in the assurance of His constant presence. Through Scripture, we will listen for the gentle whisper of His voice. In prayerful silence, we will open our hearts to the Spirit moving within. As we remember moments of grace in our lives, we will recognize the footprints of Christ walking beside us. And in faith-sharing with fellow pilgrims, we will glimpse the face of Jesus in one another.
Come away for a while and be renewed by the quiet beauty of the day—a time to encounter the living Christ who is already here, waiting to meet you in the stillness.
Come and enjoy a relaxing afternoon at Bellarmine, 12 pm - 3 pm. During this unstructured time you can visit your favorite places on the grounds, take a guided tour, chat with a Jesuit, or experience our new prayer labyrinth. Bring family and friends, all ages welcome. Lemonade and cookies will be served.

Jesus invites us to embrace childlike wonder, while Ignatius encourages us to discover God's presence in all things. This retreat offers prayerful reflection and imaginative contemplation with creation as a sacred reflection of God's presence, and guides us into a deep, heartfelt encounter with the Divine. As we refresh our eyes, return to humility, and open ourselves to awe and wonder, we catch a glimpse of how God sees—the beauty, the mystery, and the surprises that surround us.

Let’s sit together with the Blind Beggar, Bartimaeus at the crossroads to engage the Jesus of Mark’s gospel through the text. The Twelve are there. And other disciples. The scribes and Pharisees are there. Our interaction with all of them through the text will open surprising connections between us. We may discover our own inner blindness, our own fear, anger and shame, our own need for healing, that we become willing to look up and call to Jesus. This prayerful and hopeful book invites us to see that the parts of ourselves we most want to hide from are the very things that open to us the Path to Life, to joyous life in Christ.
Fr Roc O’Connor, SJ will facilitate the book study of his book, I Want to See: What the Story of Blind Bartimaeus Teaches Us about Fear, Surrender and Walking the Path to Joy.

Since the thirteenth century, the Rosary has been a means of praying the Mysteries of Mary’s and Jesus’ lives. What has defined these particular events as Mysteries is how God was present and active in these moments, and praying them becomes a way of remembering that divine involvement. Our own stories as well contain events marked in our experiences and memories as times of God’s presence. We invite you in this Day of Reflection to identify, explore and pray on the mysteries in your own life, and how they can become for you a tool for deepening your relationship with God.

In times of darkness and uncertainty, gratitude is more than a feeling - it is a spiritual stance that opens our eyes to the gift of life and resists despair. A grateful heart takes nothing for granted and so St. Paul encourages us to be grateful in all circumstances (1Th 5:18). Not grateful for all circumstances but grateful in all circumstances. Join us for a day of prayer and spiritual practicing to nurture a more grateful heart.

Melody Beattie wrote: Gratitude turns a house into a home, a meal into a feast, a mistake into an opportunity. Brother David Steindl-Rast called gratitude the path to world peace because if you are grateful, you are not fearful, you are not violent. Fr. Bill Creed, SJ has noted that when we look into the face of our enemy with gratitude in our hearts, we see our sister and our brother. Gratitude is personal, interpersonal, social and systemic.

In Mass Divisions Roc O’Connor, SJ explores the inner landscapes of persons in our country and church, marked as we are by precarious divisions, to offer a spirituality for these times: How is it that adult disciples engage Word and Sacrament and not bear fruit of oneness, charity, and reconciliation? This thoughtful work delves into the roots of the false self with compassion to allow us to become available for a new relationship with Christ Incarnate, who has always been present in those places we avoid.
Fr Roc O’Connor, SJ will facilitate the book study of his 2026 book, Mass Divisions: That the Cause of our Downfall Might Become the Means of Our Salvation which will be available for purchase in the fall of 2026.

Vatican II called for “full, active, and conscious participation” at liturgy. Let’s explore what “conscious participation" means…
It seems that conscious participation may involve paying attention to three realities simultaneously: 1) the purpose and meaning of each part of the Mass, 2) one’s inner movements of attraction and aversion to the unfolding of the liturgy, and 3) one’s developing relationship with Father, Son, and Spirit - and others. Come, enter into the Mystery of Salvation!

At the wedding feast at Cana, Jesus changes water into wine. The wine he provides is superior to
what had been served earlier in the celebration. Jesus saved the best for last.
As we grow older, we often lament the wine of our youth. Our health, stamina, appearance, memory
and relationships morph over time. With those changes we may well feel loss and grief. So much of
our world seems to shrink.
The spiritual life, however, keeps growing. In our later years we can discover opportunities for ever
deepening encounter with God. Our inner landscape reveals vistas unseen in our earlier years. Our
inner eye recognizes patterns as we recollect, and our deepest heart awakens to new awareness of
the Divine. It is a season of renewed discovery that the Lord of all chooses to accompany us in the
later seasons of life.
During this day of shared reflection, we will explore ways spirituality can be fostered at this time of
life. Scripture, prayer, presentation, and silence will aid us on our journey. All you need to bring is an
open heart and a desire to continue growing in wisdom, age and grace. The God who made you
desires to share the spiritual riches of the later years. See how the Lord continues to walk with us
while saving the best for last.
