Br. Carl Caceres, SJ

Spiritual Director

Br. Carl Caceres, S.J. grew up in Teaneck, New Jersey, not far from New York City. He earned a bachelor of arts in philosophy and theology/religious studies from the University of Scranton, where he initially met the Jesuits, and a master of science in student affairs in higher education from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. He is currently a doctoral candidate in higher education at Loyola University Chicago. Br. Carl is a trained spiritual director and helps teach spiritual direction through Loyola's Institute of Pastoral Studies. Br. Carl currently serves as the Jesuit in Residence for Loyola Chicago's Rambler Brotherhood Project, a student success and retention initiative run out of Loyola's Division of Student Development. He is also a formator for the Ignatian Colleagues Program, a program run by the Association of Jesuit Colleges and Universities aimed at helping administrators and faculty at Jesuit institutions learn more about Jesuit Mission & Identity. Before joining the Jesuits he worked in residence life at Creighton University, campus ministry at Xavier University, and academic advising at Miami OH. Br. Carl is a former collegiate tennis player and coached tennis at Loyola Academy in Wilmette, OH.
