Paul Horcher

Spiritual Director

Paul Horcher has been married to his wife Lisa for 39 years. They have 6 children and 6 grandchildren with 2 more on the way. Paul completed a 3 yr. Spiritual Direction Internship at Bellarmine in 2015, and an Advanced Internship at Bellarmine (2025). He finished a 2 yr Spiritual Direction Internship in the Carmelite tradition in 2025. He has given the Spiritual Exercises to both individuals and groups.

Paul served as a minister of care in a hospital for nearly 20 years. He completed a 2 yr. Lay Ministry training offered by the Archdiocese of Chicago in 2005 and studied spirituality at Catholic Theological Union (CTU). He has done an extensive study of St. John Paul II‘s Theology of the Body with the Theology of the Body Institute. In 2020 he finished the 2 yr. Living School with the Center for Action & Contemplation (CAC) located in Albuquerque NM. 

In addition to Carmelite and Ignatian spirituality, and a Theology of the Body perspective, Paul has done a lot of work immersed in nature using it as a mirror for our wholeness and deepening our relationship with God.

He believes God’s love is all encompassing and can be found in every situation. God desires our healing and wholeness more than we can imagine and continuously beckons us to it using all of creation to reveal His infinite love for us.
