Summary

As we rejoice in the new dawn of the Risen Christ, you are invited to an at‑home virtual retreat to reflect on your own pilgrim path toward the Feast of Pentecost. What does your “Yes” to the Call of Christ mean in your life today? How does our Interior Joy and Consolation of the 4th week of the Spiritual Exercises ready us for the Holy Spirit to work through you in the world? What does it look like to live as an Easter person—rooted in Divine Love and intense joy, and learning to walk together in the synodal way of the Church? Over seven weekly gatherings, we will explore these and related questions, drawing wisdom from St. Ignatius and other key voices across the centuries and from one another’s lived experience.

Retreat Leader

Thérèse McCall

Thérèse McCall is a Pastoral Associate and Lay Ecclesial Minister, for the Archdiocese of Chicago.  She completed a Master of Arts, Pastoral Studies, from the University of St. Mary of the Lake, Mundelein, in May 2023.  She anticipates completing a Master of Divinity degree, at Loyola University, Chicago, with a specialization in Spiritual Direction, in 2026. She is a member of the retreat ministry team at Bellarmine.

Through her HYSSOP (Holy Spirit speaking in our Presence) ministry, and spiritual accompaniment, she challenges us to be more attuned to the Spirit at work in our lives, and the absolute importance of our personal response to Grace. In retreats and reflections, she creatively weaves her theological understanding, the richness of the Tradition of the Catholic Church, and the wisdom of Christian writers across the centuries, into thought provoking insights and resources to support a deeper relationship with the Divine Mystery.

She recently retired following a medical career in the pharmaceutical industry.  She is married to Kieran, her husband of 31years, and has two children, in their early twenties. She lives in Lake Forest, Illinois.
