Summary
In Mass Divisions Roc O’Connor, SJ explores the inner landscapes of persons in our country and church, marked as we are by precarious divisions, to offer a spirituality for these times: How is it that adult disciples engage Word and Sacrament and not bear fruit of oneness, charity, and reconciliation? This thoughtful work delves into the roots of the false self with compassion to allow us to become available for a new relationship with Christ Incarnate, who has always been present in those places we avoid.
Fr Roc O’Connor, SJ will facilitate the book study of his 2026 book, Mass Divisions: That the Cause of our Downfall Might Become the Means of Our Salvation which will be available for purchase in the fall of 2026.

Fr. Roc O'Connor, SJ
Fr. Roc O’Connor, SJ has served as a member of the Bellarmine Ministry Team since October, 2021. He also leads the children’s choir at St. Mary’s, Buffalo Grove for Wednesday morning Masses. Currently, Roc is also working on a book for adults regarding deepening our participation at liturgy. In 2020 OCP published his collection of eight new songs, All Shall Be Well: The Hand of God.
