Thérèse McCall

Spiritual Director

Thérèse McCall is a Pastoral Associate for the Archdiocese of Chicago, earning a Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies from the University of St. Mary of the Lake in 2023 and a Master of Divinity degree at Loyola University in 2026. Drawn to Ignatian spirituality and the transformative grace of the Spiritual Exercises, she formed as a Spiritual Director in the Ignatian tradition through Loyola University Chicago and now serves as a Faber Circle Spiritual Director for Bellarmine’s weekend retreat ministry.

Through her HYSSOP ministry—HolY Spirit Speaking in Our Presence—and through one-on-one spiritual accompaniment, Thérèse helps others grow in attentiveness to the Holy Spirit and respond to Grace in everyday life. In retreats, reflections, and formation programs, she integrates theological insight and the wisdom of Christian writers across the centuries, offering resources that nurture a deeper relationship with the Divine Mystery. 

Thérèse is a committed supporter of the Ignatian Spirituality Project, which accompanies individuals recovering from homelessness and addiction through retreats and ongoing spiritual reflection. 

Before entering pastoral ministry, she enjoyed a long career in the pharmaceutical industry.Thérèse and her husband, Kieran, have been married for thirty-four years. They live in Lake Forest, Illinois, and are parents to two adult children.
